Singing Scholars Choir (No Charge)

Grade Levels:  All

Audition is not required

Tuesday:  3:45pm-5:30pm (This class will meet every other Tuesday opposite of

Honors Choir.  Please make sure you mark your calendars)

Resumes January 12, 2010

 The students will develop performance skills in reading vocal music.  This ensemble will prepare and perform concerts during the school year, some of which will be other than during school hours.  The students participating in singing scholars are expected to participate the entire school year. 

Special concert attire will be worn

 Honor Choir (No Charge)

Grade Levels:  4-8

Audition is required

Tuesday:  3:45pm-5:30pm (This class will meet every other Tuesday opposite of Singing Scholars.  Please make sure you mark your calendars)

 Musical Theatre/Drama ($80 Semester)

Grade Levels:  1-8

Audition is not required

Thursday:  3:45pm-5:30pm

Resumes January 14, 2010

 The Musical Theatre and Drama club is a personalized, active club in which will be an   introduction to the fundamental skills of acting and singing in the theatre. It involves discussion, theatre games, warm-up, monologue, and scene work. The student’s will also present a final production at the end of the school year. 

Special concert attire will be worn

 

Vocal Techniques Class ($80 Semester)

Grade Level:  All

Audition is not required

Thursday:  3:45pm-5:30pm (This class will meet every other Thursday opposite of piano class.  Please make sure you mark your calendars)

Resumes January 13, 2010

 The students will develop the fundamentals of singing individually through vocalizes and learning music from different genres.  This class will allow the students to focus individually on their unique voice.  They will learn and demonstrate appropriate stage presence, poise and discipline.  The students that are ready will perform on the recital. 

Special recital attire will be worn

 Beginning Piano Class ($80 Semester)

Grade Level:  All

Wednesday:  3:45pm-5:30pm (This class will meet every other Wednesday opposite of voice class.  Please make sure you mark your calendars)

Resumes January 20, 2010

 The students will develop the fundamentals of playing and performing on the piano.  They will learn basic music theory, and how to read music.  The students that are ready will perform on the recital. 

Special recital attire will be worn
